MEGADETH Drummer: 'The Province Of Qubec Is Insane For Metal'

April 28, 2008

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has issued the following update:

"Crossing the border yesterday into Qubec, I could not help but to have a big smile on my face coming back home to Canada is always a thrill for me, but this time even more so, probably for several reasons, but I just dig the overall vibe here in my homeland something that I miss more with each passing year. (And the Pizza in Montreal RULES!!!!!!!). Tonight is the start of four Canadian [Gigantour] shows here in Qubec City. For those of you who may not know this, the Province of Qubec is insane for metal, which makes me all the more excited to play for them."

The third installment of the U.S. Gigantour the acclaimed traveling heavy music festival launched in 2005 by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine officially launched on April 12 in Denver, Colorado with headliner MEGADETH, Swedish metal band IN FLAMES, Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM, Arizona's modern extreme act JOB FOR A COWBOY and Oakland, CA heavy power trio HIGH ON FIRE. The 29-date trek will criss-cross North America and is scheduled to wrap May 22 in Phoenix, Arizona.
